We loved this place! The location was amazing, with views of mountains and a river nearby. It felt like we were staying in a historic site, as it used to be a stop for changing horses during Roman times. The hotel itself was beautifully decorated and had all the amenities we needed. The room service and housekeeping were excellent, and the staff was friendly and helpful. We also enjoyed the spa and wellness center, which had a sauna, swimming pool, jacuzzi, and beauty treatments. it was a luxurious and comfortable experience.
We would definitely recommend this hotel to families. It offers a range of services and amenities that are perfect for families traveling together.

The hotel was nicely designed & I loved the Jacuzzi bath in the room
I felt it catered more for Italian guests & was quite far from the nearest town, you really need to have hired a car to stay here.

I had a fantastic stay at this hotel. The cleanliness was impeccable, and the hotel facilities were top-notch. The location, situated on a former stop used by the Romans to change horses, added a unique historical touch. Additionally, the hotel's close proximity to a museum we wanted to visit was very convenient. Lastly, the breakfast provided was delicious, with a variety of homemade pies to choose from.
Nothing, it was perfect.

Extraordinary. Stunning design to the main house and restaurant. Staff were fabulous even though little English was spoken. Could not have been more helpful. And last but no means lest, the food. From it's preparation to presentation was a joy to watch. A hidden gem in Italy is Foro Appio Mansio Hotel. I should have stayed for a week and forgotten about a few of our other destinations.Highly recommend that you take the detour and enjoy everything that it has to offer. An absolute 10/10.

I had a wonderful stay at a well-located hotel with a rich history. The hotel is beautifully decorated in a countryside style, and my room had a lovely bathtub. The breakfast, especially the handmade pies, was delicious. Just a short car ride away, there is an outstanding Michelin guide-recommended restaurant called La Locanda del Bere. I highly recommend this hotel for its charm, convenient location, and excellent value for money.

This was a very interesting and historical lodge. We liked the spartan, monastic look of the bedrooms. Which had every convenience. This was a a great stop over after a days sightseeing in Rome en route to Naples/Pompeii etc. You need a car.
There was no information about the hotel in the room or during reception. We didn't notice the lovely swimming pool until dinner time when we were given a leaflet about the hotel.

I had a fantastic stay at this luxurious 4-star hotel! The location was absolutely breathtaking, nestled close to nature with stunning views of mountains and a nearby river. It was also conveniently situated near a museum that I had been wanting to visit. The hotel itself was beautifully decorated and the rooms were spacious and comfortable. I especially enjoyed the separate tub and shower in my room, allowing me to relax and unwind after a long day of exploring. The amenities provided were top-notch, including ironing facilities, air conditioning, and a mini-bar. The staff was attentive and friendly, making sure that my every need was taken care of.
I highly recommend this hotel to everyone.

Loved the unique and renovated castle-like building, the delicious breakfast, and the relaxing pool and spa area. The location was perfect for a city break, with easy access to a nearby museum and beautiful gardens.
The wifi log-in process was a bit complicated and caused some frustration. there was a lack of communication about additional fees for using the pool and possible events happening on the property.
